HOGWARTS LEGACY
LAUNCH CAMPAIGN
I was the lead creative as part of the TEA team on the Launch campaign across the UK & Ireland for the release of Hogwarts Legacy, 2023’s highest-selling game. This Wizarding World game moved the focus from the franchise’s central protagonist, Harry Potter, and instead the developers at Avalanche Studios left full character customisation and house choice up to the player.
We reflected this in various campaign areas including these bespoke and iconic Hogwarts House buses highlighting to fans that they will get to find their house in Hogwarts Legacy, always a key touchstone in Hogwarts fandom.
Within two weeks, Hogwarts Legacy sold more than 12 million copies and generated $850 million in global sales revenue. As of 5 May 2023, its revenue had reached $1 billion, and by end of October 2024, global sales totalled 30 million copies.
The main campaign roll out brilliantly leveraged the excellent Hogwarts vista shown in the packaging key art created by Raul Montes alongside the logo designed by Pentagram.
